New US Study – Blood ‘A harmful treatment’

The results of a groundbreaking new study on the effects of transfusion on cardio-thoracic patients has shown that better outcomes are achieved when Patient Blood Management Techniques are employed. The study, conducted at Englewood Hospital, New Jersey in 2012, analysed 132 patients and tracked their recovery time, length of stay, mortality and morbidity.
