  • PDDr. Herbert Schöchl is a founding member of the working groups ÖGARI "Perioperative coagulation".

  • Primary interest of research focuses on diagnoses and treatment strategies of trauma-induced coagulopathy.  He developed hemostatic treatment algorithms based on visco-elastic test results.

  • Author of over 90 publications and reviewer for major journals. Moreover, he is chair of the Austrian task force for “perioperative coagulation management” of the Austrian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine.
